Yoga and Breast Cancer

" Yoga has become a popular subject of medical inquiry and is now being studied by many clinicians. Know for its therapeutic benefits, yoga is now offered as a complementary therapy at many major treatment centers, and is often practiced independently by patients who hear how effective it is. For women with breast cancer, yoga has been shown to reduce mood disturbances, anxiety, depression, anger, stress, and confusion, and to improve sleep quality, cancer related distress, and cancer related symptoms. Women participating in yoga programs during treatment reported improvements in their quality of life - for example, there was a significant reduction in nausea, vomiting, and fatigue during chemotherapy."
