MINDFULNESS

Attempting to shift from the sympathetic nervous system, the place of “flight or fight”, to the para-sympathetic nervous system, a place of more systemic calm, can be achieved in different ways.  However, one of the more effective ways is through a Mindfulness practice.  A study conducted on Mindfulness-based stress reduction published in Current Oncology states, “Participants reported significant reductions in stress, depression, and medical symptoms, and significant improvements in mindfulness, coping with illness, and sense of coherence. Changes in mindfulness were significantly related to changes in depression, stress, emotional coping, and sense of coherence. Increases in mindfulness and sense of coherence predicted reductions in stress.”  Wellness Within is pleased to offer several different virtual and on-demand Mindfulness class options to allow you to explore and develop your beneficial mindfulness practice.

Mindfulness Meditation

Using silence, breath, and journaling we will cultivate a practice that supports a powerful process of relaxation and self-awareness from within, by developing a clear, stable, and non-judgmental awareness of all experiences in life.

Our Wellness Within instructors provide both in class meditation experiences as well as meditations available on our Podcast to take with you while on the go.
